The notebook turned out to have been misconfigured so that all new data, music, videos, pictures, downloads were stored on the C: solid state drive which was supposed to be reserved for the operating system. My wife took the notebook to the 'Geek Squad' to be fixed, but upon my return I found the C: solid state drive to be almost full, with less than 2 GB of unused space remaining, so that Windows 10 updates are failing.

How can I migrate all the extraneous downloaded files and programs from the C: solid state drive to the D: (data) drive without impairing the operation of the notebook?
