Community Board 5, Queens works to improve the Ridgewood, Maspeth, Middle Village and Glendale communities, which are part of Community District 5, Queens. Within our borders, we also have a small portion of Woodside and Rego Park. There are currently 43 members of our Board.

High Five Access Media is governed by a group of community volunteers. The towns of Vail, Avon and Minturn appoint one member each to the board of directors.

The remaining directors are elected by HFAM members. The Board of Directors typically meets once every quarter at the HFAM center. The board considers and approves policies, budgets, initiatives and programs. Meetings are open to the public, and input is welcome during the public comment portion of the agenda. If you would like the board to consider taking action on an item, please submit a detailed proposal ten days in advance of a meeting. The entire board can be reached at. Board members serve up to two, three-year terms. HFAM members choose directors to fill open positions each December. We believe a stronger community is the more likely to be safe, happy place for its residents, businesses, and families to live and grow in. Community Board 5 and surrounding areas offer valuable resources which include great shopping districts such as Fordham Rd., Burnside/ University Avenue, and variety of organizations that offer services to members of our community. Community Board 5 is always looking for ways to serve you better and will continue to work to improve the quality of life in the district.
